Battery 2030+
INERRANT is part of the Batteries 2030+ initiative, a coordination and support action (CSA) which brings together the most important stakeholders in the field of battery research and development to implement the EU Battery 2030+ Roadmap and work on concrete actions that support the implementation of the European Green Deal, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the European Action plan on Batteries and the European SET-plan.
Battery 2030+
A Large-scale, Long-term European Research Initiative
Battery 2030+ aims to make Europe a global leader in battery technologies of the future. The research initiative aims to develop advanced, green, high-performing, and long-lasting batteries that are crucial for Europe's transition to a climate-neutral society, as envisioned in the European Green Deal. Therefore, the initiative focuses on creating disruptive technologies that give the European industry a competitive edge, with an emphasis on clean energy and a circular economy.
Battery 2030+ plays a central role in driving the development of safer, longer-lasting, and environmentally friendly batteries, leading the way in shaping the future of sustainable battery technology in Europe.
The initiative is led by Uppsala University and started on 1st of September 2020.
